Use DS4 on Vita Remote play
I'd like to use the Vita as a screen only, while still using the DS4 for input.
(On my main account, not as a secondary account work-around)

Change bluray region once
The ability to change PS4's bluray movie region once. I read quite a bit about people moving to other countries, etc and their PS4 wont play local bluray movies. I moved to the UK and cant watch my bluray movies. I just want to change region once only.

Simply make it do everything the PS3 could, feature wise.

Able to read my flash drive when I plug the thing in so I can watch movies and listen to music.
Remember how simple it was on the PS3 to just stick a flash drive in the USB port and you were able to watch movies, listen to music, transfer photos and practically anything else you had on the thing? Why was such a simple feature, and one I use almost as much as gaming, removed from the PS4?
Now that I mentioned music, I also downloaded the killzone soundtrack I got along with my preorder. Although I can't even find it on the system. Again, no music options or video options other than Sonys Unlimited services kind of stinks. I…

More in-depth parental controls
Master accounts need to have full parental ability to enable/disable the share function, along with every other thing like Near. It is automatically disabled with no way to enable it.

Official Playstation Wireless Headset (and Pulse) Support
We were told the Sony Wireless Headset was going to work, it does not even thou some people were using it during gamescom. Please add this asap.
Hard to play at night with low volume.
This is a very basic support for gamers, should have been ready from launch.

"PS4 RECORD THAT"
As great as it is to have the last 15 minutes of gameplay, it's not very convenient to go back after a long gaming session and find the cool thing that happened. For one, you have to exit your current game to do so. It'd be really great to have a button press option or camera command that records last 3ish minutes of gameplay and saves it. All those times in battlefield, when something cool happens, I have to remind myself that I will go back and save the footage... But after 3 hours of playing, it's easily forgotten or…

Better Parental Controls
I want a way to block everything and then grant access on an app by app basis for child's account.
I want to see everything when I'm logged in (to my password protected account), but if my son logs in, I don't need him seeing Killzone, etc.

backup and restore individual applications instead of everything
re-downloading store games is a huge pain especially for people with slow download speed (for example 220 KB/s)....
the current backup option which is to backup and restore the whole thing is not convenient at all... we need an option to backup/restore individual games without the need to fully reinstall the PS4 system...19 votes -

Greatly expand voice control and PS Camera Interaction
I'm talking Kinect 2 levels of integration, here. Let's have every aspect of the UI navigable by voice.
As for the voice commands themselves, let's make it so you can say the command in its entirety and have the Playstation respond, rather than: "Playstation...", (Pause), "Battlefield 4", "Start".
Let's have instead: "Playstation, start Battlefield 4" or "Playstation, play Battlefield 4"

Ability to delete captures made with the share button
Right now we can't delete what we capture. In the long run the HDD will fill up very fast...

PS1/PS2 Emullator
Here's the thing, given the hardware that's available, and the number of emulators seen on PC, this should be very simple. PS3 emulation is harder because of the cell, but PS1 and PS2 should be easy.

Messages should display partial text instead of just saying New Message
Currently if you receive a message it just says New Message. I would like to see what part of the message says so I don't have to leave my game just to read it.
